Commencement Day 2

The university ceremony for all graduating students was on this second day, and there were robes everywhere.

It was pretty hot in the sun for this 2.5 hour ceremony. It would have been shorter if the speaker's podium had been in the sun. There were a few periods of welcome cloudiness and some nice breezes, but I was glad not to be wearing a robe.

Lena fell asleep during the main commencement speech, and by setting the camera sounds to "mute," I got some great shots of this. I have been forbidden from posting them on the blog, so you'll just have to take my word that they were really funny.

Next, it was on to the famous Ted Drewes frozen custard shop. This is the best frozen dessert I've ever had.

The focus then shifted from graduation to moving, so we did more packing and errands, followed by a well-deserved graduation dinner at a wonderful Indian restaurant (A Taste of India). The best was the chicken korma. It was the best Indian food I've had.

Then back to the apartment for more packing.
