Commencement Day 1

Today includes the first of two commencement ceremonies. This first one is for the Biomedical Engineering Students (BME) -- they are "recognized," and each student has his/her's name called out, shakes hands, and receives a folder for the diploma.

Great breakfast at the hotel -- we skipped the waffles today.

Breakfast was followed by running on the treadmills at the hotel. I discovered that running while watching TV and changing channels is not a skill that I've acquired, so there were a few extremely humorous three stooges type moments as I windmilled around but didn't quite fall.

Next, it was time to iron the clothes that have been scrunched up in the trunk for thousands of miles, and then on to the ceremony.

We had great weather. Here are some pictures to give you a feeling for the day:

Here are all of the BME students:

Next was a calorific open house/dinner at Terry and Jamie's (Adam's Parental Units) with about 80 guests. Thanks Terry and Jamie!

Finally, back to the hotel to recover for the big ceremony the next day.
